Santo Domingo.– The seventh edition of Quisqueya es Moda (QEM) will be held on September 19, 2026, in the city of New York, within the framework of the prestigious New York Fashion Week. The organizers of the Dominican event announced the details during a press conference held at the facilities of the Mercy Jáquez Higher Technical Institute.
During the meeting with media representatives, sponsors, designers, and special guests, the official event schedule was presented, as well as the names of the personalities who will be honored for their trajectory and contributions to Dominican culture, art, education, and fashion.
As part of this edition, QEM will pay tribute to the renowned designer Robert Flores, the cultural manager Luz Divina Escoto, and the visionary producer “Tuto” Taveras. With the goal of recognizing their valuable contributions and careers, which have positively impacted the Dominican community both inside and outside the country.

Likewise, special recognition will be given to designer Pedro Voigh, interior designer Modesta Castro, educator Miltha Bergés, and author Gladys Cáceres (Ecuador). Figures who have left a significant mark in their respective fields of work, and who represent the talent, excellence, and commitment of the Dominican diaspora.
The runway will feature the participation of renowned designers and creative houses, including Robert Flores, Giannina Azar, Mirtha Nina, Belkis Concepción, Maryvic Pimentel, Noel Newman, Deicy Campusano, and Glady Marrero. In addition to a collective of Upcycler designers and a representation from the Mercy Jáquez Higher Technical Institute.

Makeup and hair direction will be in charge of the renowned international stylist Paolo DiValdi, who will lead the beauty team responsible for the models’ image during the event.
Since its creation, QEM has established itself as a platform to promote and showcase the talent of Dominican and Caribbean visual artists, artisans, and fashion designers on international stages, strengthening the ties between fashion, culture, entrepreneurship, and national identity.
In its seventh edition, it promises to become a great celebration of Dominican creativity and pride in one of the world’s fashion capitals.
