Azua. – The Vice President of the Dominican Republic, Raquel Peña, led the inauguration this Tuesday of the Educational Center Hermana Dolores García Alcaraz, in the municipality of Peralta, Azua province, a long-awaited work that strengthens public education and directly benefits dozens of students, within the framework of National Student Day.
During the inaugural event, the vice president highlighted that each new school represents a real opportunity to transform lives and communities. Likewise, she expressed her confidence in Dominican youth by stating: “I am convinced that the best of this country is in you”.
The activity was attended by authorities from the Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic, including Vice Minister Óscar Amargós, as well as representatives of the National Congress and local authorities from the province of Azua.
Among those present were Senator Lía Díaz and the deputies of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) Grey Pérez, Brenda Ogando and Julio César Beltré Méndez. Also participating were the regional director of Education 03, Jorge Antonio De los Santos, and the director of the Educational District 03-01, Marino Lebrón Aquino.
The blessings of the new educational center were given by Pastor Pedro Soriano, who offered a prayer for the well-being of the educational community and the proper use of the facilities.
On behalf of the students, the girl Ciprian expressed her gratitude to President Luis Abinader, highlighting his commitment to making a project a reality that had been pending for several years and that today becomes a symbol of hope and progress for the municipality of Peralta.
The inauguration of the Hermana Dolores García Alcaraz Educational Center reaffirms the Dominican government’s commitment to inclusive, quality education and oriented towards the integral development of children and youth.
