Santo Domingo.– Relatives of Pablo Antonio Jiménez Santana, 61, who has been missing since last Tuesday, are asking authorities to intensify search efforts and review security cameras in the area where he was last seen.
His daughter, Gimena Jiménez, expressed her concern regarding the time that has passed and requested that footage from establishment cameras and the 9-1-1 National Emergency and Security Attention System be analyzed in search of clues that could help determine what happened to her father.
Jiménez Santana, who works at OMSA, left his residence located on San José Street, near Spain Avenue, and was captured by security cameras walking through the area.
The family states that, so far, it has not been confirmed what happened to him or if he fell into the waters of the Caribbean Sea, as is presumed. Meanwhile, the Ozama Regional Civil Defense, together with other relief agencies, is maintaining a large-scale search operation in the vicinity of Avenida España and the coastline, while his relatives continue to request assistance to locate him.

In that sense, Lieutenant Colonel Santiago Martínez, of the Santo Domingo Este Fire Department, explained that rescue teams have carried out an extensive search along the banks, from the point where it is presumed the man may have been last seen to the vicinity of the Juan Carlos bridge.
He pointed out that the work is being carried out following established protocols and taking as a reference the images obtained by the security cameras.
The commander indicated that, because several days have passed since the disappearance, relief agencies are keeping the search active and are evaluating different possibilities, without confirming so far that Jiménez Santana has fallen into the sea.
