Relatives search for man with bipolar disorder missing in El Almirante

Santo Domingo Este. Relatives of 39-year-old Cristhian Evelio Mota Ramírez are requesting the public’s assistance in locating him, after he went missing upon leaving his residence in the El Almirante Los Solares sector, in Santo Domingo Este.

His sister, Reyna Mota, explained that Cristhian left the house located at 08 Alonzo Sánchez Street without saying where he was going and, since then, they have not heard from him again.

The family indicated that the man suffers from bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and an intellectual disability, and that at the time of his disappearance he was not taking the medication prescribed to treat these conditions, which increases the concern of his loved ones.

According to a video received by family members, the last time he was seen was in the vicinity of the Northeast highway, near the Las Américas toll booth. He was wearing short Bermuda shorts, was barefoot, and shirtless.

Reyna Mota reported that the disappearance was notified to the National Police, whose agents informed them that they are maintaining patrols in the area and that the information has been distributed to the various units to assist in locating her.

The family members are calling on the public so that, if anyone has seen Cristhian Evelio Mota Ramírez or has information that could help find him, they should contact Reyna Mota at 809-449-0005.

The family remains hopeful of locating him safe and sound and appreciates any information that facilitates his prompt location.
