Bachata stars Romeo Santos and Prince Royce are number one in Spain with the song “Dardo” and this Thursday they met again with their Madrid audience in an exclusive meeting, prior to the start of their European tour, which will begin on June 25 in Seville under the production of MASQLIVE. The meeting, to which De Último Minuto had access, was held at the Oh My Club nightclub, where both artists conversed closely with their fans, opening their hearts and visibly happy about the results of the album “Better Late Than Never” and the reception of the tour, which already registers Sold Out in Barcelona and Madrid. “And I don’t think it was with malice, but out of competitiveness. The fan has the right to think that their favorite artist is the best. In our case, it never affected us; on the contrary, we laughed,” he affirmed.
“It’s healthy competition,” Prince Royce added.
They were seven years scheming an album that many could not even suspect. “In my case, as we had recorded a while ago, since 2016, I was saying: ‘I don’t want to filter anything, I don’t want to reveal anything,'” confessed Prince Royce.
For Prince Royce, recording this album has been an honor and a deeply enriching experience alongside the king of bachata, whom he admires both personally and musically. “After many years one wants to find a new muse, a new motivation. In this album, for me personally, it pushed me quite hard: I learned a lot and enjoyed the moment. It gave me back the hunger to work,” he concluded.“For me, the surprise factor is important. I wanted to focus on the album, and sometimes telling things isn’t good,” said the singer-songwriter.
