Santo Domingo.- The long-awaited music video for the song “Lokita por mí”, performed by Romeo Santos and Prince Royce, was officially released this Friday afternoon, marking another important milestone after the launch of their new collaborative album, a project entirely composed in bachata, “ Better Late Than Never”, which has generated great expectation among fans of the genre.
The audiovisual released on the official YouTube channel of Romeo Santos, especially caught the public’s attention because this is one of the most popular songs from the new album, but also because it stars the Dominican urban artist La Perversa, along with the actor Shalim Ortiz, who plays the role of her husband within the story that the video narrates.
The plot unfolds mainly in the dressing room of a store, where the couple stars in a discussion that reflects common situations in a “toxic” relationship. In the video, La Perversa assumes the role of “the toxic one”, showing scenes of jealousy, complaints and confrontations that add drama and humor to the narrative of the song and the video itself.
In addition to the main story, the video includes the participation of several women who represent different female prototypes, reinforcing the message of diversity and contrasts in sentimental relationships, a visual resource that complements the lyrics of the song.
The production also highlights the stage presence of La Perversa, who appears in several shots with a confident, striking, and sensual image, ensuring international projection by venturing into a large-scale project within bachata, alongside two of its most influential figures: Romeo Santos and Prince Royce.
