Moscow.- The Russian Ministry of Defense announced this Wednesday a new exchange of 103 prisoners of war on each side.
“103 Russian servicemen returned from the territory controlled by the Kiev regime. In exchange, 103 prisoners of war from the Armed Forces of Ukraine were handed over,” the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on its channel on MAX, the Russian messaging network.
Moscow reported the exchange when the exchanged Russian prisoners were in Belarus, where it stated they received “the necessary psychological and medical assistance”.
United Arab Emirates humanitarian mediation
The exchanged military personnel were attended to by the new Russian ombudsperson, Yana Landratova, the military command added.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the exchange was made possible thanks to the humanitarian mediation of the United Arab Emirates, which has already facilitated other exchanges of this type.

The previous exchange, of 160 prisoners from each side, took place on June 26th.
Furthermore, on August 13, both parties carried out an exchange of detained civilians -eight Russians and seven Ukrainians-, and an exchange of bodies of soldiers fallen in combat, of 261 Ukrainians and 24 Russians.
