San Francisco de Macorís.- Tension returned to the streets of San Francisco de Macorís on the night of this Monday, after hundreds of citizens took to the streets to protest in different parts of the city following a mobilization called by the Frente Amplio de Lucha Popular (FALPO).
The day was marked by slogans, the setting on fire of tires, and demands for justice for the death of 16-year-old Ángel Manuel Luna, who lost his life in a confusing incident allegedly attributed to a mixed patrol.
Protesters marched through several streets of the municipality demanding that the agents involved be brought to justice, while social discontent continues to grow among family members, friends, and community members.
The activity organized by FALPO managed to gather citizens of all ages, in an environment charged with indignation and tension, making it clear that the case has deeply shaken the population of San Francisco de Macorís.
