La Vega.– National Police agents, in coordination with the Public Ministry, arrested a man identified as the main suspect in the death of Felicia Ramírez Capellán, 46, whose body was found with burns in a home in the community of Yabanal, in the La Vega province.
The detainee was identified as Argenis de Jesús Rodríguez Filpo, who was wanted under arrest warrant No. 2025-AJ0057640. According to the authorities, his capture was possible following investigations and evidence collected during the processing of the scene.
As part of the investigation, José Milton Batista was also arrested, identified by investigators as the person who allegedly participated in renting the vehicle supposedly used to commit the crime.
During a raid carried out at the home of the main defendant, the authorities seized an SUV that was allegedly used in the incident, as well as several items of clothing that will be analyzed as part of the investigation.

The National Police reported that both detainees will be placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office for the corresponding legal purposes, while investigations continue to clarify the circumstances of Ramírez Capellán’s death.
