Santiago de los Caballeros.- The mayor of Santiago de los Caballeros, Ulises Rodríguez, received his counterpart from Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, Julio Roldán, this Thursday, with whom he discussed the importance of strengthening ties between both cities through the exchange of experiences and municipal cooperation.
During the meeting, Rodríguez highlighted that sharing the management experiences of both municipalities can contribute to improving the services their citizens receive.
“I believe that certainly the most important thing is to take advantage of your experience in that exchange, ours, and to be able to provide a better service to our people, to our citizens,” expressed the mayor of Santiago.
For his part, the mayor of Aguadilla, Julio Roldán, expressed his gratitude for the welcome during his visit to Santiago de los Caballeros and stated his interest in establishing a twinning agreement between Santiago and Aguadilla, which would allow for strengthening relations and promoting projects of benefit to both communities.

Roldán valued the experiences shared with the municipal authorities of Santiago and pointed out that he has much to learn from the initiatives being developed in the city.
“Returning again to Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, to establish a sister city relationship here with the mayor and continue progressing both cities. I have a lot to learn from all these wonderful things we have discussed here,” expressed Roldán.
The meeting opens the possibility of establishing new collaboration mechanisms between Santiago de los Caballeros and Aguadilla, especially in areas related to municipal management, city development, and the exchange of best practices.
