Santiago.- The president of the Santiago Tourist Destination Cluster, Brenda Sánchez, highlighted the progress made in projecting the city as an important destination for event tourism, thanks to the joint work with the City Hall and other actors in the sector.
Sánchez emphasized that Santiago’s participation in international fairs has been key to positioning the city in new markets, as well as to attracting event organizers and visitors. He indicated that the strategy includes the sponsorship and support of various activities, with the aim of boosting the local economy and strengthening the tourism offer.
“The City Hall has played a fundamental role in this process, promoting initiatives that allow more events to come to Santiago and contribute to its development,” he expressed.
Likewise, the president of the cluster highlighted that in the last year significant progress has been made in consolidating the Heart City as a tourist destination, the result of collaboration between the public and private sectors. These efforts have allowed to increase the visibility of the city and generate new opportunities for the sector.
Regarding future plans, Sánchez announced that work will continue on strategies to strengthen infrastructure, increase international promotion, and consolidate alliances to ensure the sustained growth of tourism in the city.
The speech, considered a management balance, also served to outline the pending challenges and short and medium-term goals, with a view to positioning Santiago as one of the main tourist destinations in the country.
