‘Scary Movie’, ‘Backrooms’ and ‘He-Man’ lead this week’s movie releases
Santo Domingo. This week’s movie schedule arrives loaded with nostalgia, horror, and adventure with the premiere of three of the most anticipated productions of the year: Scary Movie, Backrooms, and He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.
One of the most notable releases is the sixth installment of Scary Movie, which marks the return of the popular comedy and parody franchise that captivated audiences in the early 2000s. The new film once again pokes fun at cultural phenomena and the most popular horror movies of recent years, bringing back part of the original cast.
In the horror genre, Backrooms hits the big screen after becoming a viral internet phenomenon. The film, directed by Kane Parsons and based on the popular “creepypasta” of the same name, has sparked great anticipation among suspense film fans for its unsettling story about alternate dimensions and endless spaces.

The film represents the return of one of the most iconic characters of 80s popular culture and seeks to win over both fans of the original series and a new generation of viewers.
In addition to these titles, the lineup includes romance, drama, and comedy offerings, consolidating one of the most varied weeks for moviegoers at the start of June.
