Santo Domingo.- Relatives of a 14-year-old, a baseball prospect, have asked the
Public Ministry to clarify the case of his death, since more than six months after the event they have not received a response from the authorities.
Gustavo Talmaré, died in August 2025, when he supposedly left the academy where he was being trained as a baseball player, with four other children, to look for fruit and drowned after falling into a lake.
Balthazar Talmaré, the young player’s father, clarified that to date, the authorities in charge of the investigation have not wanted to show him the video where the minor is seen with others from the place where he was trained.
“For me, they killed the child at the academy,” Talmaré highlighted, given the authorities’ refusal to show a response to the progress of the investigations.
He also revealed that among the results of the autopsy performed on his son’s body, it was determined that
supposedly in the minor’s urine, there was evidence that he ingested alcohol, an action that is prohibited in the training place.
Balthazar Talmaré stated that Gustavo’s death still seems a mystery to him, since his son, as he explains, knew how to swim very well.
