Santo Domingo.– The environment will remain very hot this Saturday in much of the country due to the presence of Saharan dust, while rainfall will be limited and will occur in an isolated manner in some provinces, reported the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet).
During the early hours of the day, passing showers will be recorded in provinces such as La Altagracia, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Samaná, Duarte, María Trinidad Sánchez, Monte Plata, San Cristóbal, and Peravia. In the afternoon, only isolated downpours with thunderstorms are expected over localities in Monte Plata, Monseñor Nouel, Sánchez Ramírez, La Vega, San Juan, Elías Piña, Dajabón, and San Cristóbal.
Temperatures will remain high, with maximums between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius, so authorities recommend staying well hydrated, avoiding sun exposure between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., wearing light clothing, and paying special attention to children, the elderly, pregnant women, and people with health conditions.

For this Sunday, the outlook will change with the arrival of a tropical wave that, combined with a trough, will increase humidity and favor downpours, thunderstorms, and wind gusts during the afternoon and evening, mainly over La Altagracia, La Romana, San Pedro de Macorís, San Cristóbal, Peravia, Azua, Barahona, Monte Plata, Monseñor Nouel, Sánchez Ramírez, Hato Mayor, Santiago, San Juan, and Greater Santo Domingo.
