La Altagracia.- The art gallery “Abreu Fine Art” will host the exhibition “The Rhythm of the Invisible”, a solo art show by the Dominican-American artist Julieta Prissell, curated by Oscar Abreu. The opening will take place on October 17, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., at Greenfit Wellness Club, located in the Gardenia Building, Los Corales, Bávaro.

The exhibition presents a painting in which color, layers, and gestures suggest music, movement, and memories. Its compositions invite you to pause and discover the relationships between the forms, which are revealed gradually and offer different possibilities for interpretation.

“The Rhythm of the invisible” alludes to the links that Prissell explores between personal experience, cultural memories, and the rhythms that connect Africa to the Caribbean.

Through an abstract language, the artist transforms these references into images that preserve the energy of the stroke and leave room for the viewer’s associations.

Works such as Echoes of the Ancestral Drum, Rhythm between Africa and the Caribbean, The Dance of the Yoruba Winds, Songs of the Caribbean Moon, and The Call of the Blue Kalimba, reproduced in the book that will be presented during the inauguration, account for that creative universe. Their titles evoke sounds, territories, and traditions that find their own expression in painting.

From Abreu‘s curatorial perspective, one of the main attractions of this work is its ability to sustain attention and reveal new relationships as it is observed.

The dialogue between colors, shapes, and layers allows each encounter with a piece to expand its interpretation.

During the opening, TOP 100 ARTISTS: ART GABANGI 2026 will be presented, a publication by Oscar Abreu whose cover reproduces a painting by Prissell. The book also dedicates pages to her career and includes several of her works, offering the public an opportunity to delve into her artistic proposal.

The exhibition is sponsored by Greenfit Healthy Café. With this exhibition, Abreu Fine Art begins its programming and opens a meeting point for art and the community in Los Corales, bringing artistic creation closer to the public of Bávaro and Punta Cana.
