Third body found in Villa Los Almácigos; authorities investigate possible link between the cases

Santiago Rodríguez.– The discovery of a third corpse in an advanced state of decomposition keeps authorities under investigation in the municipality of Villa Los Almácigos, Santiago Rodríguez province, where in less than 48 hours three lifeless bodies have been found in different communities.

The most recent discovery occurred this Tuesday on a farm in the La Piña community. Preliminarily, it was reported that the body shows apparent signs of violence, so it was recovered by the authorities to be transferred to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif), where the corresponding studies will be carried out to establish the identity of the victim and determine the cause of death.

This case adds to the discovery of two other bodies found last Sunday in the Bohío Viejo area, Rancho Quemado section, also belonging to Villa Los Almácigos, which has generated concern among the residents of the area.

So far, the authorities have not confirmed whether the three incidents are related to each other, although they reported that they are keeping several lines of investigation open to clarify the circumstances in which the deaths occurred and to find those responsible, in the event that they are criminal acts.
