mLa Vega.– A traffic accident that occurred on Sunday night on the road connecting Jima Abajo, in the province of La Vega, with the municipality of Fantino, in Sánchez Ramírez, left two people dead and two others injured following a collision between two motorcycles.
According to preliminary reports, the fatalities are of Haitian nationality. One of them was partially identified as Frenyi, while the other remains unidentified.
The bodies were transported to the local municipal hospital, where the corresponding procedures are being carried out for their official identification and subsequent release to their families.
As for the injured, they have not been identified so far. Witnesses to the event indicated that they could be residents of the Fantino municipality, although this information has not been confirmed by the competent authorities.

Units from the 9-1-1 National Emergency Response System, National Police agents, members of the Fire Department, and personnel from the General Directorate of Traffic and Land Transportation Safety (DIGESETT) arrived at the scene, where they provided assistance and conducted the scene investigation.
The authorities have not offered details regarding the causes of the accident, while the investigation remains open to determine how the collision occurred.
