Santo Domingo.- Tropical Storm Dolly is expected to weaken in the Caribbean before approaching the northeastern part of the region, although moisture associated with the system could increase rainfall over the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico between Sunday and Monday, according to forecasts from the National Hurricane Center (NHC).
During the early hours of this Friday, Dolly continued to show an organized structure as it moved over Atlantic waters. However, projections from the National Hurricane Center anticipate a weakening before its approach to the Caribbean.
At the moment, no tropical cyclone watches or warnings have been issued for the coasts of both neighboring countries or for the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Although Dolly would weaken in the Caribbean, its moisture remnants could affect the weather conditions in Santo Domingo over the next days.
