Santo Domingo.– A semi-truck loaded with wood overturned this Thursday morning in the vicinity of Núñez de Cáceres Avenue, near the intersection with John F. Kennedy Avenue, causing concern among drivers and pedestrians circulating in the area.

Response and security agencies arrived at the scene, including members of the National Police and the Civil Defense, who are working in the area to ensure safety and address the situation caused by the heavy vehicle.

So far, it has not been publicly established what caused the truck to overturn, nor has there been any official report regarding injuries resulting from the accident.

The presence of the cargo vehicle and the transported wood also caused difficulties in vehicular traffic in the surrounding area, so drivers are advised to proceed with caution and, if possible, take alternate routes while the authorities conclude their work.

The intersection of Núñez de Cáceres and John F. Kennedy is one of the points with the highest vehicular traffic in the National District and has been the scene of other accidents that have caused significant congestion. In September 2025, for example, a Caribe Tours bus struck the access booth of the Pedro Francisco Bonó station, leaving an OPRET employee injured and causing the temporary suspension of service at that station.

Authorities maintain a presence at the scene while the corresponding efforts are carried out to remove the vehicle and clear the road. Semi-trailer truck loaded with wood overturns on Núñez de Cáceres Avenue
