According to a study conducted by the adult content giant Pornhub in 2018, 29% of the world’s pornography consumption, and acknowledges that not only men like to consume sexual content. According to the analytics, the top categories that are most searched within the platform by women are headed by lesbian sex, followed closely by Japanese animated porn or “Hentai”; sex between black women, “Ebony”; anal sex is in fourth place. Categories like Anal, Indian, MILF and Mature, show a significant place in women’s preferences.

Also, a study published in 2017 and conducted by the University of Nevada in the United States in conjunction with researcher Tara Emmer-Sommer, analyzed data from 76 people who claimed to regularly consume pornography. The first discovery was that porn is consumed more alone and for masturbatory purposes than as a couple activity, but that women are the ones who consume it the most in this way, often to please their partners.

With this research, it is shown that there are differences between porn for men and women. It also reveals that men are less hesitant to declare that they watch pornography than women. Understanding what types of pornography women consume allows us to break taboos and open a healthier dialogue about sexuality and preferences. Beyond arousal, conscious consumption can serve as a tool for exploration, learning, and self-knowledge, always within a safe and respectful framework of personal boundaries. However… For the men in this editorial, it is a bit paradoxical that they are a bit more conservative in the sexual aspect, with their tastes and when debating about and choosing a type of pornographic videos.
