U.S. Ambassador to present Credentials to the president this Wednesday along with six other diplomats

Santo Domingo.- The new United States ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Leah Francis Campos, will present her Credentials to President Luis Abinader this Wednesday, an act that formalizes the beginning of her diplomatic functions in the country. In addition to the U.S. representative, the Head of State will receive the credentials of six other new ambassadors, who will be officially accredited to exercise their diplomatic missions before the Dominican government. The diplomats who will also present their credentials are: Raúl Fuentes Milani, from the Delegation of the European Union; Enrique Antonio Valdez Aguiar, from the Sovereign and Military Order of Malta; Kishan Dan Dewal, from the Republic of India; John Petter Opdahl, from the Kingdom of Norway; Zdenek Kubánek, from the Czech Republic; Vitali P. Barchuk, from the Republic of Belarus. The ceremony, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and State ceremonial, will take place in the Ambassadors’ Hall of the National Palace, the Presidency of the Republic reported this Tuesday.

During the event, the president will welcome the new heads of mission, who will formally deliver the documentation that accredits them as official representatives of their nations before the Dominican State. The Government highlighted that this ceremony reaffirms the country’s commitment to strengthening its bilateral relations, boosting international cooperation, and expanding its diplomatic ties with allied nations and organizations.
