La Romana, D.R.– Unknown individuals shot and killed Enrique Jiménez Brito, popularly known as “Enriquito”, in an incident that occurred in the Río Salado sector of this city.
According to preliminary information, the crime was recorded in the vicinity of the Nuns’ School, specifically in the place known as La Almendra, where the victim was socializing and playing dominoes.
According to witness accounts, several individuals arrived at the scene and, for circumstances that are still under investigation, fired multiple shots at him, causing his death on the spot.
Members of the National Police, the Public Ministry, and the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) arrived at the scene, where they carried out the removal of the body and initiated the corresponding investigations.

So far, the authorities have not reported on the motive for the crime nor have they identified those responsible, while investigations continue to clarify this event and establish responsibilities.
