Venom will have an animated movie produced by Sony
The franchise of Marvel’s most popular symbiote will take a new turn with the development of an animated film centered on Venom, according to recent reports from the film industry.
The project would be spearheaded by Sony Pictures Animation, the division responsible for hits like the animated Spider-Verse saga. Although production is in its early stages, the studio has already begun creative discussions to define the narrative and visual approach of the film.
The direction would fall to “Zach Lipovsky” and “Adam B. Stein”, filmmakers known for their work in the horror saga “Final Destination”. Their experience in handling tension and narrative rhythm could bring a different tone to the antihero universe.
One of the main questions revolves around the possible participation of Tom Hardy, who played Eddie Brock in the live-action trilogy released between 2018 and 2024. So far, it has not been confirmed whether the actor will reprise the character as the main voice in the animated version or if he will have some role as a producer.

The bet on animation could allow exploring new visual and narrative dimensions of the character, expanding the universe of the symbiote beyond the traditional live-action format. Furthermore, this move aligns with Sony’s strategy to strengthen its animated catalog after the international success of its recent productions. For now, neither a release date nor details about the cast have been announced, but the project is already generating anticipation among fans of the character and the associated cinematic universe.
