Las Terrenas, Samaná.– Lawyer Wander Gabino reported that the structure resembling a lottery booth placed on the esplanade of the Las Terrenas municipal sports center does not correspond to the installation of a new point of sale, but rather to an advertising element used during the municipality’s past patron saint festivities.

The clarification comes after the presence of the structure generated concern and widespread debate among citizens, who questioned the possibility that a lottery booth was being installed in a space intended for sports practice and family recreation.

As Gabino explained, the structure was part of the advertising placed for the patron saint festivities and does not represent the opening of a commercial establishment in that location.

Despite this explanation, the topic continues to generate divided opinions between those who consider the clarification sufficient and those who believe that this type of advertising should not be placed within public sports facilities either.
