Woman dies, second victim of accident on the Northeast Motorway

Santo Domingo. – This Saturday morning, Katerinne Beatriz Díaz Aquino, 24, passed away at the Ureña 2 Clinic. She had been seriously injured in a spectacular accident that occurred last Wednesday on the Northeast Highway, in the Salto Socoa section in Monte Plata. According to reports, Katerinne suffered multiple blows to the face, head, abdomen, legs, and other parts of the body while traveling in a white Honda Accord vehicle, accompanied by Daniel González de los Santos. Her car collided with a Hyundai Sonata, driven by Santos Paredes, who died instantly due to the magnitude of the impact that left his vehicle completely destroyed. Daniel González, so far the only survivor of the incident, remains hospitalized, while family members and residents of the area mourn the death of the young Katerinne. The accident caused shock among the residents of the area, due to the violence of the crash and the fatal consequences it left.
