Miami.- The World Baseball Classic announced this Thursday the first official soundtrack in the history of the tournament, which is being held since this week in the United States, Japan and Puerto Rico, and in which artists of the stature of Becky G, Myke Towers or Young Miko, among others, have collaborated.
The main theme of the competition is ‘Make It Count’, a mix of Latin pop, reggaeton and K-pop performed by American Becky G, Puerto Rican Myke Towers and Yeonjun, member of the South Korean ‘boy band’ Tomorrow X Together.
The championship’s music list also includes the songs ‘MVP’, by Puerto Rican Young Miko, which reflects the connection between baseball and her native island, or ‘My Place’, by Japanese Fujii Kaze, focused on the legacy of the World Baseball Classic in Japan.
The choice of artists is a nod to the tournament venues, whose first match was played today in Tokyo, and the rest will begin on Friday in the United States and Puerto Rico.

Behind the first soundtrack in the history of the tournament is the producer Tainy, a two-time Grammy winner, who has experience working with Bad Bunny, Dua Lipa, and Justin Bieber.
The World Baseball Classic is played from March 4 to 17, with the final scheduled at LoanDepot Park, home of the Miami Marlins.
Japan will act as the title defender after defeating the United States States by 3-2 in the 2023 final.
