Santo Domingo.- The Attorney General of the Republic, Yeni Berenice Reynoso, assured that the Public Ministry has a considerable amount of evidence to support the accusation against former Attorney General Jean Alain Rodríguez, who is being prosecuted for alleged acts of administrative corruption and other crimes.
During an interview, Reynoso stated that the evidence gathered in the file, in his understanding, is sufficient to demonstrate the criminal responsibility of the former official.
“That case has enough evidence to convict him six times over. The amount of evidence is immense,” the prosecutor stated when referring to the judicial process.
According to Reynoso, the investigations cover different areas of the Attorney General’s Office during Rodriguez’s administration. Among them, he mentioned the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF), training programs, the transportation system, and projects related to the construction of penitentiary centers.
The head of the Public Ministry also maintained that the irregularities under investigation would not be limited to a single department of the institution.
“There wasn’t a single department of the Attorney General’s Office that wasn’t touched by corruption,” he stated.
Reynoso also pointed out that the file includes evidence regarding alleged bribes, seized assets, and operations that, according to the accusation, were carried out irregularly.

In that sense, he referred to assets that were seized during judicial proceedings and that were subsequently allegedly handled through operations questioned by the authorities.

The attorney also mentioned the public auctions of seized assets and asserted that individuals related to the case had acquired some of those assets irregularly.
