7 undocumented Haitians are detained inside a moving truck in Duvergé

The truck driver and passenger were arrested by members of the ERD

Duvergé. – Two men were arrested while loading a move into a truck, in which they were also carrying 07 undocumented Haitian immigrants in Duvergé.

The detainees are the driver, identified as Vicente Garcia Berville, of Dominican nationality, residing in Barahona, and his companion Eliseo Matos.

The Daihatsu brand blue truck, license plate L012092, loaded with a moving, was intercepted by members of the Army at the El Indio checkpoint, in which they were transporting in the bed of the aforementioned vehicle 07 Haitian nationals in irregular migratory condition.

Undocumented foreigners, including 04 women and 03 minors, will be handed over for repatriation to the General Directorate of Migration.
