Puerto Plata.– The National Emergency and Security Attention System 911 activated a broad and specialized search operation to locate the girl Brianna Genao Rosario, 3 years old, missing since 5:00 p.m. on December 31st in the community of Barrero, municipality of Imbert, province of Puerto Plata.
In the initial phase of the operation, 911 deployed
state-of-the-art technology, including
high-precision drones, which have flown over rural areas, wooded areas and the surroundings of the nearby river, with the aim of capturing aerial images to identify any clue that leads to the whereabouts of the minor.
Given the complexity of the case,
specialized 911 teams were dispatched from different parts of the province to reinforce the efforts, which are carried out in coordination with the
Civil Defense, the
Fire Department, the
National Police, agents from the
Central Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DICRIM), and other response agencies.
The operation has also been joined by the
Dominican Republic Air Force, which provides strategic support, as well as
trained canine units for search and tracking in hard-to-reach areas, expanding the land exploration radius.
Authorities reported that the search device remains active continuously throughout the day, combining human, technological, and logistical resources, with the primary objective of
finding Brianna Genao Rosario safe and sound, while investigations into her disappearance are deepened.
The search efforts were
suspended on the afternoon of this Thursday around 6:00 p.m. due to visibility conditions and will be
resumed from the early hours of this Friday, according to the authorities.
