The search efforts, which were paused on Thursday afternoon, resumed early this Friday with a greater number of rescuers and the incorporation of high-tech drones, aerial cameras and other specialized equipment, with the aim of expanding the search radius, especially in wooded and difficult-to-access areas. During the previous day, rescue teams located a flip-flop that presumably belonged to the girl, near a river in the area, which led to the reinforcement of the search around the tributary and its surroundings. As part of the investigative process, magistrate Olga Diná went to the scene to coordinate directly with the National Police and the DICRIM, in order to deepen the investigations, clarify the circumstances of the disappearance and expedite a response for the family. Within the framework of the investigation, several relatives of the minor, including her maternal grandmother, cousins, and other relatives, have been questioned for investigative purposes, as part of the protocol established for this type of case. As the work progresses, Brianna’s family maintains hope of finding her safe and sound, while urging the authorities to spare no effort until they find her whereabouts. The girl’s disappearance has generated consternation and deep concern in the Barrero community, where residents and neighbors have joined together in solidarity with support efforts and prayer chains for the minor’s return. The authorities reiterated that the search remains active and expanding, and urged anyone who can provide relevant information to contact the security agencies immediately. It should be noted that, although the disappearance occurred in the community of Barrero, Imbert, the girl resides with her family in the municipality of Navarrete, province of Santiago.
