Abel Martínez: “We must reconnect with society and work on rebuilding the PLD and not on its division”

Samaná.- The former presidential candidate for the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) and aspiring to the same position, Abel Martínez, held a meeting with leaders and community leaders in Arroyo Barril, Samaná, to whom he reminded that the political exercise in the country must be assumed with responsibility, assuming the sacred commitment to the Dominican people.

After listening to the concerns of the community members, Abel expressed that the legacy of well-being left by the governments of the PLD must be recognized and that this political organization must embrace the needs and demands of the Dominican people. “We must support each community in their causes, think of the mothers, the young worker, and the father of the family. The responsibility we have is very great and as a party, I tell you from the heart that we must reconnect with society. We have to work on the construction and reconstruction of this organization that belongs to Dominican democracy,” expressed Abel Martínez.

The former mayor of Santiago, reminded members of the Central Committee of the purple party of this demarcation, that the PLD “is one of the few parties in the Dominican system that does not belong to anyone in particular, because the PLD belongs to the Dominican people. That is why we must work on reconstruction and not on division.” Martínez urged his followers to continue working with faith and determination, shoulder to shoulder with every Dominican woman and man, to turn the opportunity that exists for 2028 into solutions and well-being for everyone.
