Santo Domingo.– The Government highlighted this Wednesday the progress achieved in different provinces of the country through infrastructure works, housing projects, and social initiatives developed during the current administration that began in August 2020.
According to the Presidency, President Luis Abinader has maintained a constant work agenda in the different regions of the national territory, supervising projects, leading inaugurations, and holding meetings with various sectors of society.
According to official information, these sessions have contributed to the implementation of initiatives in areas such as health, education, housing, sports, drinking water, sanitation, citizen security, and road connectivity.
The Presidency pointed out that during these tours, meetings have also been held with agricultural producers, business owners, merchants, community leaders, and local authorities, with the purpose of understanding the needs of each community and evaluating the progress of the works in execution.
Among the delivered projects are roads, bridges, educational centers, hospitals, primary care units, rural roads, and housing complexes developed through state programs aimed at facilitating access to housing.

Likewise, the construction and rehabilitation of sports facilities, aqueduct systems, sewage networks, electrification works, parks, markets, and police stations in different locations were highlighted.
The institution stated that these initiatives seek to strengthen community development and improve the living conditions of the population through investments distributed across the different regions of the country.
Finally, he maintained that direct contact with the provinces has allowed for close monitoring of citizens’ needs and follow-up on projects promoted by the public administration.
