Santiago projects itself as a cultural and gastronomic destination at FITUR 2026, highlights Mayor Ulises Rodríguez

Madrid, Spain. – The mayor of the municipality of Santiago, Ulises Rodríguez, highlighted the international projection of the Ciudad Corazón during the International Tourism Fair (FITUR 2026), by informing that strategic contacts have been established to promote the tourist, cultural and gastronomic offer of the municipality to international operators and visitors. Rodríguez explained that Santiago’s participation is strengthened with the launch of a promotional magazine that highlights the city’s main attractions, its emblematic events, and its growing offer of luxury and hospitality.

“We are going to take advantage of this platform to invite you to discover a city that has become a community, with a charming gastronomic proposal and activities throughout the year,” he affirmed. The mayor highlighted the rescue and relaunch of the Santiago Carnival as one of the main achievements of the current administration, which, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Tourism, headed by David Collado, will be celebrated in a big way next February, with an international projection. Rodríguez extended an invitation to visitors and tour operators to discover the Heart City, highlighting its cultural identity, its festive agenda and its urban dynamism as the axes of a strategy aimed at positioning Santiago among the most attractive destinations in the Caribbean.
