Army detains 152 undocumented Haitians in different operations in the Northwest Line

Valverde, RD. – Following up on the interdiction operations migratory, citizen security and the fight against illicit trafficking and smuggling, 152 Haitian nationals were arrested in an irregular migratory condition in different communities of the Northwest Line of the country. The arrests of undocumented foreigners were carried out through patrols in the communities of Loma de Cabrera, El Guanal, Mangá, Hatillo Palma, Manzanillo de Montecristi and Mao, in the province of Valverde.

Among those arrested are 105 men, 34 women, and 13 minors, some of whom were traveling in vehicles of different brands and on a motorcycle, which were also seized in the operation. The undocumented individuals, along with the vehicles and the motorcycle, were transferred to the headquarters of the 4th Infantry Brigade, ERD, for the corresponding legal purposes. The operations were carried out by soldiers of the Dominican Republic Army, in compliance with the instructions of the General Commander of the institution.
