Army detains 48 undocumented Haitian nationals in Loma de Cabrera

Dajabón.- A patrol of the Dominican Republic Army intercepted a group of 48 Haitian nationals in irregular migratory condition, during a migratory interdiction operation carried out in the municipality of Loma de Cabrera, Dajabón province.

The operation was carried out when members of the ERD, stationed at the Inspectorate of Loma de Cabrera, intercepted the foreigners who were trying to evade the military security devices.

Among those arrested are 35 men, 11 women, and 2 minors, who were transferred to the 10th Infantry Battalion of the ERD for the corresponding legal purposes.

The Army will constantly maintain migratory interdiction operations, citizen security, the fight against illicit smuggling, and support for other State institutions throughout the border area.
