Santo Domingo. – In the morning hours of this Monday, August 22, a confusing incident occurred in the Maria Nata XVI apartment tower, located in the Bella Vista sector, when a Honda CR-V vehicle, license plate G576628, opened fire on a black Mercedes Benz G-Wagon jeep, license plate G609481.
The attacked vehicle, which received multiple bullet impacts, was driven by Starling Noboa Isabeth, 34 years old, who was traveling with a woman. According to the preliminary report, Noboa has several police records for robbery. Both were unharmed.
Inside the Honda CR-V, authorities seized a high-caliber rifle and a cell phone. Both this vehicle and the G-Wagon are in the custody of the Scientific Police for investigation purposes.
Initially, the rumor circulated that the jeep belonged to the urban artist Emanuel Herrera Batista, known as El Alfa. However, the spokesman for the National Police, Diego Pesqueira, clarified that the vehicle is registered in the name of a woman with a history of robbery and that the singer has no connection with the event, nor does he reside in the aforementioned residential area.
The authorities reported that investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the incident and the origin of the seized firearm.
