Santo Domingo.– The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Mirex) informed that, given the situation registered in the region, it has managed to establish communication with two Dominican citizens who are in Iran, to whom the corresponding accompaniment and guidance are offered.
The institution explained that it maintains permanent coordination with the Dominican embassies accredited in different countries in the area, which, in turn, maintain contact with local authorities to ensure the safety of both nationals and diplomatic personnel.You may be interested in: Trump warns Iran that it is «too late» to negotiate
In that context, the Chancellery urged Dominicans remaining in those territories to act with prudence and adopt the necessary preventive measures. It also reminded that the communication channels of the diplomatic missions in Israel, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye are available, the latter concurrent with Iran and Lebanon. The authorities reiterated that an emergency channel remains active to address any eventuality and offer timely consular assistance to Dominican citizens in the region.
