”Dominican Republic consolidates its leadership in open justice”, says Attorney General Yeni Berenice

Santo Domingo.– The Attorney General of the Dominican Republic, Yeni Berenice Reynoso, assured that the realization in the country of the First International Open Justice Conference demonstrates the progress made in the consolidation of a more modern, transparent and accessible judicial system for citizens. Berenice Reynoso highlighted the importance of this global event being held in Santo Domingo, which, in her opinion, confirms the nation’s leadership in judicial reform processes.

“The consolidation of any rule of law must ensure that people have timely access to justice,” said the prosecutor, expressing that the interoperability of judicial systems constitutes an essential element to broaden that access. He explained that thanks to this technological tool, many citizens who previously encountered obstacles to exercising their rights will be able to do so more quickly and efficiently.

“Interoperability for justice ensures that many people who in a certain context cannot access justice, can do so much more easily,” he pointed out.

Reynoso highlighted that open justice and technological innovation are fundamental pillars for strengthening the legitimacy of institutions, expanding social trust, and ensuring that no citizen is left out of the justice system.
