After the deposit, it will be up to the assigned judge to set the hearing where the measure requested by the prosecuting body will be heard. Aquiles Jiménez was transferred this Wednesday to the Palace of Justice of Ciudad Nueva under police custody. Upon his arrival, he reiterated his innocence and stated that he did not understand the reasons for his detention. For the moment, he remains in the court’s preventive cell, awaiting the hearing. The arrest and subsequent raid of his residence were carried out within the framework of the so-called “Operation Chameleon”, through which the Public Ministry investigates alleged irregularities related to the possession of military use objects. Jiménez reported that his legal defense is in the hands of lawyer Ingrid Hidalgo, who will be in charge of representing him in the judicial process.
