Santo Domingo.– Lawyer Plinio Piña, legal representative of former employee Gregory Adames, stated this Thursday that he will not comment on the new evidence collected by the Ministry Public in the investigation related to the collapse of the Jet Set nightclub, an event that claimed the lives of 236 people.

Piña indicated that he prefers not to refer to details of the case so as not to hinder the investigation process. “We have to wait for everything to be clarified,” he expressed when questioned about a prior warning made by his client regarding the security of the establishment.

Regarding the information from the Public Ministry indicating that some employees were allegedly intimidated, the jurist stated: “If they are saying it, it’s because they must have some kind of information.” The lawyer also confirmed that his client, Gregory Adames, expressed fear through a video he uploaded to social media, content of which the defense had no prior knowledge. “We have learned about it through the media and digital platforms. The important thing now is that everything is thoroughly investigated and due process is respected,” he pointed out.
