Mother demands justice after alleged sexual assault of her daughter in La Romana

LA ROMANA. — A mother identified as Yoselina Olivo Nieves made a call to the authorities to deepen the investigations regarding a complaint about an alleged sexual assault against her minor daughter, an event that, according to her account, occurred on July 3rd in the municipality of Villa Hermosa.

The mother claims that a man known as “Edward”, allegedly accompanied by another person not yet identified, reportedly transported the minor in a vehicle. It is under those circumstances that, according to the complaint filed by the mother, the alleged incident took place.

Nieves expressed concern about the course of the investigations and asked the police and judicial authorities to act with due diligence and clarify what happened, so that the person responsible pays before the law for what was committed.

Likewise, it is specified that the described facts are part of a complaint that is subject to investigation, so it is up to the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the courts to establish responsibilities in accordance with the evidence and due process.
