Ariana Grande earns $107.9 million from her latest tour

Ariana Grande has wrapped up her latest tour with an impressive financial result, earning $107.9 million from the sale of 638,000 tickets despite performing significantly fewer shows than on some of her previous tours.

Grande temporarily stepped away from public life and the stage on September 1, following the conclusion of her “The Eternal Sunshine Tour,” which consisted of 41 concerts. The singer had announced her temporary departure from the spotlight before completing the tour.

The tour’s box office performance stands out because of its relatively limited number of dates. According to Billboard, Grande generated an average of $2.6 million in revenue and sold 15,600 tickets per show. Those figures represent increases of 74% and 14%, respectively, compared with her 2019 “Sweetener World Tour.”

The strategy behind the tour also reflects a trend increasingly adopted by major artists: performing in fewer cities while scheduling multiple shows in each location. “The Eternal Sunshine Tour” visited just nine U.S. cities, as well as one city in Canada and one in the United Kingdom.

Before this tour, Grande had embarked on several larger concert runs, including the “Sweetener World Tour” in 2019, the “Dangerous Woman Tour” in 2017 and “The Honeymoon Tour” in 2015.

Although Grande has temporarily stepped away from live performances, she will remain visible on screen this year. She is set to appear in the film “Focker In-Law,” scheduled for release in November, alongside Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro.

Grande has also remained active professionally over the past year. She participated in promotional campaigns and releases, including “Wicked: For Good,” which premiered nearly a year ago, and her album “Petal,” released in July.

At the same time, the singer has faced negative comments online about her physical appearance.
