Ariana Grande tearfully ends 41-show tour and steps back from public life

Ariana Grande has bid an emotional farewell to her fans as she prepares to step away from the spotlight following the conclusion of her “Eternal Sunshine” tour.

The U.S. singer and Wicked star became visibly emotional during the final night of the tour at London’s O2 Arena on Tuesday, where she thanked her fans for their support and said she would “cherish this experience always.”

“I just wanted to say thank you so much,” Grande told the packed arena as the crowd erupted in applause and cheers. She thanked her fans for the 10 London shows and 41 performances of the “Eternal Sunshine” tour.

Grande described performing on the tour, which began in Oakland, California, in June, as “one of the most beautiful and extraordinary experiences of my life.”

“I have the best fans in the entire world and I always have,” she said, before thanking them for their effort in making the tour special.

“I love your outfits. I love your faces. I love seeing you and I love connecting with you in this way,” Grande added.

News emerged last month that the pop star planned to take a “step back from visibility” after completing the tour, signaling a period away from the intense public spotlight.
