Dominican artist Damn Goldo presents “El Soberano”, a single with an Afro-Caribbean essence that marks the beginning of a new artistic stage and reaffirms his cultural identity at a key moment for the national conversation. The release serves as a prelude to his next EP, scheduled for the end of March 2026.
“El Soberano” explores the dynamics that remain after a breakup, when one of the parties continues to pretend that everything is fine. “I think a lot of people are going to identify because we’ve all seen someone pretending to have overcome something,” expressed Damn Goldo. “This song comes from seeing that from afar, from realizing that there are those who are still acting and those who have truly moved on. It’s not necessarily spite, but rather clarity.”

The theme was conceived during a stage of artistic exploration outside his native country, a process that deepened his connection with his own creative voice. “This song was made in Colombia, far from home, but well connected with myself. Sometimes changing places helps you write with more truth. Right now I feel like I have a lot to say. This year people are going to see a clearer version of me, and above all exploring and playing with different genres that represent everything I am.”
