Santo Domingo, RD.- This Thursday, the long-awaited fifth season of “Emily in Paris”, the followed and successful Netflix series, premiered amidst the euphoria of millions of fans, in a new edition where the American marketing executive Emily faces professional and sentimental challenges while learning to navigate a new city: Rome. After being appointed head of the Agence Grateau in Rome, Emily Cooper, the main character of the series played by actress Lily Collins, tries to captivate Roman brands; however, at the same time she tries to cope with her love life with Marcello Muratori, played by Eugenio Franceschini, in a fun mix of love, work and the occasional setback.

In this new season, the plot set in Sylvie’s agency, played by Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, is maintained, and important characters from the series such as Mindy (Ashley Park), Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), Gabriel (Lucas Bravo), Antoine Lambert (William Abadie) and his perfumes, Geneviève (Thalia Besson), Sylvie’s stepdaughter, Nicolas de León (Paul Forman), Mindy’s ex-boyfriend, among others, are retained.

However, in this new season, characters like Antonia (Anna Galiena), Marcello’s mother, take on an important role in the series due to the different situations that arise related to her and her influence as the owner of an exquisite fashion house. In the first chapters of the fifth season, Emily Cooper and Marcello have a perfect relationship; however, things get difficult over time. Sylvie, one of the main characters in the series, is another who faces the most setbacks and situations, both in her role as director and in her personal life, dealing with several love affairs triggered by her romance with a filmmaker in Rome and the breakdown of her marriage with her husband Laurent, played by the actor Arnaud Binard. The fifth season of “Emily in Paris” is now available exclusively on Netflix; therefore, to watch the new episodes you only need to be subscribed to the popular streaming platform.
