Communicator Gabi Desangles reacted publicly after learning of the sentence that condemns Tamara Martínez to three months in prison for defamation and insult against her, a decision issued by the Second Chamber of the Criminal Chamber of the Court of First Instance of the National District. Through her Instagram stories, Desangles expressed her gratitude to the Public Ministry and her legal team, highlighting the support received during the judicial process that culminated in the ruling in her favor.

He also stated that no person should be subjected to attacks or mistreatment in media spaces, while calling for awareness of the treatment of public figures, reminding that “behind every public figure there is a human being with a heart, dignity and emotions.” Finally, the communicator thanked the support of her family, her partner, friends, colleagues, and followers, assuring that she closes “a bitter chapter” with gratitude and courage, and reiterated her wish that the case sets a precedent in responsible communication.“I deeply wish that this experience serves as an example and a call to transform the way we communicate… Because there is a very clear line between freedom of expression and the irresponsible use of a microphone to hurt, humiliate, or destroy another human being,” Desangles added in his publication.
