Laura Bozzo requests President Abinader to intervene in the case of the girl Brianna

The renowned television presenter Laura Bozzo spoke out publicly through a video released on her social media, in which she requested the direct intervention of the President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader, in the face of the shocking case of Brianna, a three-year-old girl who was allegedly abused and murdered by two of her uncles. Visibly affected, Bozzo expressed that her call to the Dominican president stems from respect, but also from the deep indignation that provoked her to know the details of the case, considering that it is an atrocious crime that irreversibly violates the integrity and fundamental rights of children.

In the audiovisual, the presenter emphasized that one of the main responsibilities of any government is to protect its citizens, especially the most vulnerable, and called for action with firmness, forcefulness, and implacability in the face of such serious events as the one that occurred with the minor.

“You don’t play with children, you don’t touch them. What they did to this three-year-old girl cannot go unpunished. I ask for justice to be done and for an exemplary sanction to be imposed, a radical sanction, so that it is clear that this type of crime will not be tolerated,” Bozzo expressed during her message.

Likewise, the communicator stated that, if necessary, she would be willing to travel personally to the Dominican Republic to follow up on the process and ensure that the authorities act with the seriousness and responsibility that a case of this magnitude warrants. Laura Bozzo’s statement adds to a wave of reactions from entertainment figures and public life, both national and international, who have expressed their sorrow and consternation through social media, making the case a trend due to the impact it has generated. Bozzo recalled that in the year 2025 he was part of the second season of the reality show La Casa de Alofoke and that, although he does not personally know President Abinader, during the final of the program he made a call to congratulate the members, which is why he feels confident in reiterating his request that firm action be taken in cases where the physical and emotional integrity of children is violated. It is recalled that the three-year-old girl Brianna Genao was reported missing in the community of Barrero, in Imbert, Puerto Plata, which initiated a large operation led by the Northern Regional Directorate of the National Police and other security agencies, resulting in the arrest of Rafael Rosario Núñez, alias “Papito”, 52 years old, and Reyes Rosario Núñez, 43, both maternal uncles of the minor, who remain in custody while investigations continue.
