New York.- Activists gathered this Wednesday around the headquarters of the United Nations (UN) in New York, with the aim of urging members of the General Assembly to end the attacks in the Gaza Strip. Carrying banners with messages like “Israeli soldiers killing children”, the protesters hope to capture the attention of international representatives and promote a cessation of violence in the region. In parallel, various social groups have asked President Donald Trump to increase humanitarian aid to Africa, in the face of the severe famine affecting several countries on the continent.
