Washington.- At least three people were killed and several were injured in a shooting that occurred this Saturday in a very busy commercial area in Twin Falls, Idaho (USA).
Twin Falls Police Chief, Matthew Hicks, stated this Saturday that the alleged shooter had died and that “the threat to the community is over.”
At the moment, neither the identity of the suspect nor the possible motive that led him to carry out the attack have been revealed, as the investigation remains open.
“Today has been a very difficult day here in Twin Falls,” the police chief noted to the media.

The shooting took place in an area in the north of the city where there are numerous hotels and restaurants and is an important meeting point for residents and tourists.
The authorities are inclined to believe that there was only one attacker, but they are trying to find out if there were other people “who could have been involved,” as explained by Josh Palmer, the city spokesperson, to CNN.
The authorities asked citizens not to approach the area during the most critical hours, while they were attempting to subdue the aggressor.
After the initial concern, there were many expressions of gratitude to the authorities and medical services for the resolution of the crisis.
“I appreciate the quick response from Idaho’s emergency services,” wrote state senator Mike Crapo on his X account.
