A Royal Air Force training aircraft crashed shortly after taking off from RAF Valley in Anglesey, Wales, on Wednesday, with both crew members reportedly ejecting before the aircraft went down.
The aircraft was identified by reports as a Hawk T2, a two-seat advanced training jet operated from RAF Valley. Witnesses reported seeing flames and a large plume of smoke after the aircraft took off.
Emergency crews, an air ambulance and a Coastguard helicopter responded to the crash site. North Wales Police said the two pilots were being treated for injuries believed to be minor and that there were no reports of other injuries or wider damage at the time.
